About Lois

I am a Clinical Counsellor and Creative Arts Therapist.

I work with adults, couples, children, and families who find themselves stuck in the same stories, but who yearn for different endings. Clinically, I offer traditional "talk therapy" for adults and couple's, and play therapy at my private practice in White Rock. I also offer parent consultation.

Competent and grounded.

I am a graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, QC where I received my Master's of Creative Arts Therapies in 2013. I've since trained with Somatic Experiencing International, the Neufeld Institute, the Vancouver Couple & Family Therapy Institute, and the Satir Institute. In addition to my clinical work in private practice and at a non-profit, I am available to run therapy groups, offer workshops and for speaking engagements.

In 2013, I returned to the Lower Mainland after living in Montreal for 8 years. Identifying as a mixed race, second generation, minority female brings insight and cultural context to my work as a therapist. I have collaborated with diverse groups of people through offering therapy, facilitation and teaching over the last decade and have learned that difference is a good teacher.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#12002) with the BC Association for Clinical Counsellors; a Canadian Certified Counsellor (#7231) with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association; an approved service provider for BC's Crime Victim Assistance Program; and a Professional Member of BC Play Therapy Association. I believe that as long as there is life, there is hope.
